Artist Janey Hall is a native Texan, living in Austin, the perfect home for an artist! A classically trained singer, she also was a music educator with award~winning choirs. Walking the walk, she performed internationally, including Houston Grand Opera, Dallas Opera, Deep Elum Opera, Granbury Opera House, in Berlin, Prague and Barcelona, to name~drop a few!
Now a retired teacher, Janey has expanded her artistic horizons to the world of mixed media art! She has been described as a Primitive [genre] artist with a healthy dose of whimsy. She likes that!
When you look at a DivaLicious Art painting, you might giggle (out loud!), you might sigh, you might want to touch it (Janey's art is user~friendly!), but you will feel the love of her work. And she does love what she does!
One of her favorite quotes is found on one of her paintings. Danny Kaye said, "Life is like a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it."
